2014, best year yet. It's time to travel the world!

2014 has been one of the best years of my life... from Dublin to Vegas to Barbados and everywhere in between. I've met the most amazing people and been to the most amazing places and it makes me even more excited for 2015!!

I've realised this year that adventure is just a plane ride away and you should never let fear stop you from traveling the world. In 2015 I want to visit as many places as possible and experience as many things as I can.

So for anyone who is thinking about traveling all I can say to you is DO IT!!!! You will have the time of your life, I promise. Even if it's just a weekend away with your friends or a road trip with your family - these are the adventures you will look back on and remember. I've also learned you are never too young or too old to find adventure, you just have to be open to finding it :)

So to all my fellow explorers, where would you like to go in 2015? For me Australia is definitely on my list and South Africa, Iceland and Mexico are also calling my name! I am of course open to anywhere and everywhere.. no place is too small and no opportunity will be missed! I also started my Youtube channel this year where I enjoy documenting some of my trips, so hopefully I will continue this in 2015.

The biggest issue I have encountered, which I'm sure is the same for lots of you, is money. Traveling costs money - which is why I have learned to work hard and play harder! Do your best at school, try hard in your job and when you get time off spend it wisely. You'll never remember the night you decided to stay in and get plenty of sleep....

2015 is the year I hope to continue my quest to see the world, visit new places and meet new people (whilst working my ass off in between!!). Hopefully there will be opportunities to do this and if not I am determined to create these opportunities - not exactly sure how to do this, but watch this space. In the mean time, if you happen to see Aladdin and his magic carpet anywhere, send him my way... it's time to see a whole new world!! :)

Take me to New York!

I love to travel. LOVE it!

The destination I want to visit most changes every week, last week it was Australia and this week it happens to be New York.

I went to New York in the summer of 2011 but was only able to spend 2 days in the city, and Hurricane Irene also decided to make an appearance, so needless to say I didn't get to see and do everything I had hoped to. However the very small part of the city I did get to see was magical, it was like nowhere I have ever been before with an atmosphere that has to be experienced as no words can do it justice.

To me, New York at Christmas time seems like the best place in the world (I mean just look at Home Alone 2!!). Lights, decorations, Broadway Shows, you name it NYC has it. Unfortunately I do not have the time or the money to plan a trip to New York any time soon, but a girl can dream... which is what I have been doing all day, instead of working, but that's not the point!

No doubt my destination of choice will have changed again by next week, but for now I continue to daydream about the Big Apple and hope that maybe one day I will be able to splash out on a last minute trip to one of the best cities in the world, instead of just staring at the canvas on Times Square on my bedroom wall.
